I know there's a lot of junk information out there about SEO, lots of big claims, empty promises and conflicting advice. We prefer to keep things simple and basically, if it works, we do it.
On that note, don't let the simplicity of the method fool you, SEO is often more about consistently doing simple tasks rather than any amazing tactics or one of glory moves. If you think about it, spending 20 mins per week doing this method and you end up with hundreds of high pr .edu backlinks within a few months, which would be a brutally powerful authority boost for your site.
Google would be convinced your site was owned by a professor of "insert your niche here" because of your ridiculous backlink profile, and you'd get a major advantage over your competitors that were too lazy or didn't see the benefit of employing this simple method.
